What does ‘Apostille’ mean?
The word ‘apostille’ means ‘certification’ and ‘notarization’ It is commonly used in Cyprus to refer to the legalization of an official document.
Why would I get my documents legalized in the Cyprus?
If you need to present a Cyprus document in another foreign country, legalization of a document will be required as a form of legal authentication of the document by the relevant authorities. We will present the original documents to our associate Cyprus solicitor firm (recognized by the Cyprus Foreign & Commonwealth Office) to certify the copy of the original and to complete the legalization apostille service with the UK authority. The legalized/apostilled document is deemed to be legally recognized in all the member countries that have signed the Hague Convention. If the document is a commercial document of a Cyprus company and it will be used in one of the Middle East countries, the London Chamber of Commerce and Embassy Consulate attestation will be required as an additional legal requirement for the authentication of a document. Can you send my completed documents to someone else?
Yes. We can send your document(s) directly to your designated individual, bank or business. Simply give us your mailing instructions in writing via email and we will send the documents to that designated address with a courier tracking reference for you to track the mail.
